Hey, Jim Miller here. I’m the entrepreneur and CFO you may know from my sub-par content on social media.

My passion is helping people make and keep more of their money. As proof of that, I founded a business that directly helps entrepreneurs make and keep more of their money. I am also an award-winning personal finance author that helps young adults make and keep more of their money.

After 20+ years as a leader and CFO guiding startups, billion-dollar brands and others in between, I founded the fractional CFO firm, Astero Group. We help high-potential companies across the country with a focus in tech/SaaS, MedTech, CPG and service-based businesses. Astero Group has grown quickly and consistently these few years since we launched. We’re the best at what we do.

Outside of the business world, I like to be outdoors, play my drums and talk about the future. Originally from suburban Chicago (shout out to Lake Forest) I’ve called sunny Southern California home since 2002. I currently live in El Segundo, CA with my wife, amazing son and our small but fierce dog, Bowser.
